Robert McArtor - Husband - Father
An intimate look into Robert's life......
Robert B. McArtor was born in 1970 at Keesler Air Force Base - Biloxi, Mississippi. His story is more of a rags to riches one. With the emphasis of riches that includes joy and happiness money cannot buy.
At age 9 he was abandoned by his mother. Growing up in a broken home and having to care for himself at such an early age planted the seed of strong independence and leadership. After realizing he couldn't change those around him, He quit school, packed two small suitcases and traveled by Taxi to Baltimore from a little town on the eastern shore Maryland. Life was tough living in a Hotel at the age of 17 without a drivers license, no diploma and just $600 to his name but Robert persevered.
In a strange city with no money left. Robert was left begging for hand-outs and searching through restaurant left-overs for his daily meals. One day his life would change. He was rescued by a pastor's wife and her family. He was given security and unconditional love he had never experienced his entire life. This allowed him to complete his education and give back to the community. He was able to nurture his entrepreneurial spirit.
Shortly after moving to Baltimore he met his true love, Maria. They have been together for over 30 years and will be celebrating there 26 year anniversary this year. During the early years together he encouraged her as she finished her education at Towson State University and she supported him as he opened his first auction gallery in the mid 90's. He Always had a love for real estate and was motivated to expand his business.
His early days were not easy spending years in a broken home practically an orphan. With his faith in God and the love of his family he was able to achieve far greater than he could ever dream.
Robert is highly sought after in the real estate and auction business. Since 1991, Robert has personally sold well over $1 Billion Dollars in real estate through-out Maryland/DC alone and counting.
